The Land of Ear 1.png

Isn't the world a beautiful place? It's all too easy to become ignorant to the enjoyment and simplicity of nature. 'The Sun In Splendour' touched on this, and the following piece concludes the true realisation of how lucky we are to be here, sharing this great planet together.

I was perusing a dream meaning website, and found one post titled: 'Once I Dreamed I Fell From A Ship.'  It rolled off the tongue when I said it aloud, and decided to write such a piece which describes the expanse of space, right down to the core of our planet. Enjoy!

Once I dreamed, I fell from the stars and plummeted down to earth. Confounded surrounds, and stone-made clouds, the place that I was birthed.

Once I dreamed, I harnessed the wind, and wailingly whispers burred.

The air in my hair, no worries or cares, a cyclone surely stirred.

Once I dreamed, I trampled the land with beings like my own.

Some stood tall and some were small, all sharing our beautiful home.

Once I dreamed, I fell in the sea and drifted on down below.

And just like space, a dark empty place, a sanctum completely unknown.

For when I do wake in a world that I love, I will relish my gifted domain.

If it’s my time to go and I sink down below, I’d live all over again.
